So I was extrememly bored on this Satuday afternoon and decided to see how could explain this duncan21formvp guy. Rarely does he ever post anything about Duncan. It's mostly player comparisons, mostly to Kobe. You can check it out using the search if you want. Here's a small sample of his work.

The OP just made the same thread as TMacsrockets by coincidence?

Kobe on the Hornets and CP3 on the Lakers last year, how does each team do?

For next year only. CP3 on the Lakers and Kobe on the Hornets

Not to mention the clear obsession with Gasol's win shares.

If anyone should get MVP on the Lakers it is Gasol.

Or the assumption that Kobe isn't a good playoff performer and him constantly comparing Vince to Kobe.

How many titles for the Lakers with Mcgrady and Shaq from 1999-2004 instead of Shaq and Kobe?

Well that depends, if Mcgrady was on the Lakers and Kobe was on the Spurs, then Mcgrady would get zero rings.

@ some of those quotes. Can't believ he went that far to prove his case. Choked against Phoenix? He didn't even take a shot in the second half.

Looking at things statistically, it doesn't seem one is better than the other in the regular season, but in the playoffs it appears Vince Carter is a better performer. Overall it is close, but how close is it?

It was a 1-2 punch. They both needed eachother. Shaq had an all star backcourt in Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones, but they couldn't win a title. it wasn't until Kobe developed and became great player that Shaq was able to win his first title.

Kobe's numbers during the playoffs:
2000: 21pts 4 rebs 4 asts
2001: 29pts 7 rebs 6 asts
2002: 26pts 6 rebs 5 asts

Those aren't sidekick numbers. Kobe was instrumental in the 3 championships the Lakers won. Shaq and Kobe were one of the greatest duos in NBA history. Give the man the respect he has earned.

How so? I've only compared them once. The similarities between Kobe and Vince is like the similarities between Duncan and Garnett and why they are compared too much.
