What do you guys think of Radiohead's "Amnesiac" and "Kid A?"
I'm not a Jazz connoisseur, but its Jazz influences are very heavy. I understand its not a pure Jazz album, but more like a fusion of different genres in which Jazz just happens to be one of the main ones.
I keep listening to songs like "Pyramid Song" and "Life In A Glasshouse" and I think they're brilliant. Just wondering what you guys think of them..... thanks and excuse me for being a noob.
Well I'm a newb too, not regarding Radiohead, but certainly regarding jazz. I don't hear any influence at all on Kid A, and on Amnesiac, Life in a Glasshouse is the only one that really gives me that prototypical jazz vibe, albeit with a much more methodical approach. But again, I don't listen to much jazz, so maybe I'm missing a nuance here or there.
Yeah Deron's gonna have a hell of a year... And if we get the Boozer situation settled, Millsap's gonna have a hell of a year, and the following year the Jazz will free up some cap space and possibly get a good draft pick with their New York pick and...
Kid A is brilliant, though I don't think of it as Jazzy. Amnesiac didn't really do it for me in the same way. Maybe Amnesiac needs more listens or something, but it didn't really stand out for me or do a whole lot that excited me right off the bat.
i like jazz music more than the utah jazz
