Help me out here...

Need some help on some of the logic behind some of the Cavs moves this offseason. So, you win 66 games last season, tie for the best home record EVER. Then lose to Orlando in 6 games. Now, the problem in that series from my perspective was just bad matchups. I understand the Shaq trade, I mean he's better than Ben Wallace and can help lock up Dwight. But why revamp the roster completely when you had one of the best seasons ever last season?

While Ferry did revamp the roster, he kept the core guys and that's what really mattered most to the 66 wins that we had. Guys like Sasha, Wally, Big Ben, and Joe Smith contributed some too to our success but (even though Cleveland loved having those guys) they are replacable and we've found their replacements who are actually better than they are

Shaq - Ben
Powe - Joe
Moon - Wally
Parker - Moon

All while keeping the core guys (LeBron, Mo, West, etc) in Cleveland

Teams should never stand pat, even if they win the whole thing. The Cavs did indeed win 66 games, but they had trouble against top-tier teams, so steps were taken to try and change that.
