Wrong. Why wouldn't we match an offer for him. The Nuggets hands are tied much more than ours. A high contract over 4 Mil would not be worth matching but then The Nuggets would be paying a high luxary tax for that amount.

not too happy about this one as a halfway fan of the Hornets, but good for Mr. Shinn. Butler is a solid player. But it seems like any player playing SG for the Hornets performs the exact same over the last few years, from JR Smith to Snyder to Devin Brown, to Peterson, to Butler, so I'm sure they'll just plug in the next guy. Maybe give Marcus Thornton will get some burn or Julian Wright at SG, but it'll probably just mean more Peterson and Posey.

Steal. Conditional 2nd rounder in 2016? Thats years away and its gonna be protected. By that time we should have a dynasty with Gordon Griffin Jordan and whoever decides to sign. Pick will be one of the last 5 picks in the draft.

Butlers a good shooter and plays better defense than Novak. Might mean Novak will be the oddman out but I hope he is retained.

This is a very nice steal, I especially remember his big game against the Clippers last year and the game winner against the Kings. Hopefully he'll take up all of Ricky's minutes.

would the clips even bother matching when sterling is so cheap and they already have alot of SG/SF type players? he might not.

Sterling has been spending money ever since Dunleavy got here. He isn't that cheap anymore. Depending on the offer, I believe he can be matched.

As of now, our roster is:
PG: Baron Davis | Sebastian Telfair
SG: Eric Gordon | Mardy Collins | Ricky Davis
SF: Al Thornton | Rasual Butler
PF: Blake Griffin | Craig Smith | Mark Madsen
CE: Marcus Camby | Chris Kaman | DeAndre Jordan

With two open roster slots, and Dunleavy usually liking to go with 14 players, what happens with the Sessions situation could ultimately decide Novak's fate as Collins is more then capable of running the point for 5-10 minutes a night

He was actually a decent role player on a team with no bench, and they trade him away for crap? I'm guessing for salary purposes but still not a good move. Nice pickup for the Clippers though. I like Butler.

sterling is still pretty damn cheap. hes not changing over night...especially in this economy. but i agree he will match any decent deal for novak.

Not overnight...but he has changed over time. Take a look at the players signed/re-signed this decade:
  • Elton Brand 6yrs/82M
  • Corey Maggette 6yrs/42M
  • Chris Kaman 5yrs/55M
  • Sam Cassell 2yrs/13M
  • Cuttino Mobley 5yrs/42M
  • Tim Thomas 4yrs/24M
  • Baron Davis 5yrs/65M

Prior to that, the largest signing was Eric Piatkowski at 5yrs/15M! Do your homework.

Seriously. Clips days of not spending are over. They traded for Zach Randolph for god sakes!!!

That's in the past. I think Sterling finally realized he plays in L.A. and would actually get attendance and increase revenue if he has a good team.
