What attitude?
He had zero on-the-court issues in his career. Never any locker room or coaching problems... and was one of the few starters who didn't entangle himself in the Pistons-Pacer brawl.
I have no clue why people think he belongs in the same category as Marbury who had all on court issues and a few off. With Tinsley it's the other way around. Very few on court issues (other than injury proned), but a couple off court issues.... but nothing as bad as Josh Howard, etc...
He knows how to run an offense and create shots for others, as well as play at a 2/10 defensive rating vs. Quinn's 0/10 defense. At the league minimum, I'd gladly bring him on board and give him ALL of Quinns minutes. Quinn cannot make another team in the NBA. I GUARANTEE you right now, at the end of this season, Quinn never sees another NBA roster.
Re: Jamaal Tinsley In Negotiations To Sign With Miami
Quinn makes good decisions and hits open shots. Thats enough for 5-10 mins per.
All reports from Indiana are that Tinsley is a team cancer. We simply don't need him enough to take the risk. Who cares if he give us 5/5 in 15 minutes?
Re: Jamaal Tinsley In Negotiations To Sign With Miami
When he is motivated, jamal can be a very good playmaker and defensive player. he has terrefic hands and quick feet on defense he can easily getvyou 2 steal a game. he is also a very underrated playmaker.

He's not going to be a shooter type of player, he's never been that type but he'll still be able to drive to the hole and find the open player with his court vision. His defense will be average as well.
uggghh.
I always liked Tinsley, and thought the guy was an underrated player and his name got some bad rep, but those are some ugly lines.
I think the guy has a lot left tho. isnt he like 31?

this.
This is what I'm talkin about.
Why I always liked the guy is because he was A Big pg who stays true to the 1 spot. Guys just needs the right guys around him, and he has never really had any on court issues..
Like I said, got just got a bad rep, quik. Other than his FG %, I really like his game and think he would play so well with the heat.
Sh!t, I would love to Gamble him with the lakers.. I think at the end of the year, he can start for us..

He would be a terrible fit in the triangle.
Jamaal Tinsley is a what if player. I've always loved his game, but I've stopped with the what if thoughts and I've realized he's a decent player who can't shoot, play defense, or keep his head in the game for 48 minutes.

Me too, but with this recent trade for Q-Rich which actually moves us further into the luxury tax... it's looking like less of a possibility.
But of what's left, I'd still rather have Flip Murray also. If Riley can't make that deal work... then excluding Iverson & Murray, Tinsley is the best choice left.

Many Pacers fans say this, but I havenever seen it. He is one of the better help defenders the Pacers had. 1.5 steal per game tells me he can play a little
