Default Jamaal Tinsley In Negotiations To Sign With Miami

Quote:
The representative for free agent point guard Jamaal Tinsley said he is scheduled to resume negotiations with Miami Heat president Pat Riley next week regarding a deal that could soon land his client in Miami.

Not sure, could work if Tinsley is somewhat successful.

If they are 100% certain Iverson won't come off the bench, and also 100% certain that Flip Murray wants more than a 1yr deal....

Then, yes... he would be the best option.

Tinsley is a perfect fit next to Wade in the backcourt. Hopefully the Heat can sign him.

If Jamaal Tinsley signs with the Miami Heat, the Heat got themselves a pure point guard. Even though he might have attitude problems, he's still a great player.

PPG: 11.2
RPG: 3.2
APG: 6.4
SPG: 1.5
BPG: 0.2
FG: 40%
3P: 29%
FT: 73%

He's not going to be a shooter type of player, he's never been that type but he'll still be able to drive to the hole and find the open player with his court vision. His defense will be average as well.

No it won't. I keep telling you guys, Tinsley is an absolutely horrible defender, he has never had any interest in playing it.

Doesn't matter. He's still better than Quinn.

For a 1yr deal, he's an upgrade in all areas except 3pt shooting over Quinn.

Tinsely's pretty crafty. I think he would benefit the Miami Heat. What I didn't realize is how often he's made a habit of dribbling through his opponents' legs over the course of his career. I think it's worthy of a signature move in 2K10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzp9hMM030g

I don't see how he will be a perfect fit next to Wade. He's a guy that like to create for others by driving and dishing, though can't shoot for sh!t. You need shooters around Wade.

Flip Murray would be a good pickup for the Heat. He'd be great off the bench, and he could take pressure off of Wade on offense when he entered games.

If I were Miami, I'd pick Murray over Tinsley.

It's rumored he wants more than a 1yr deal... and at more than he made last season. That's why I don't think there has been much interest his way.

But yes, he's the perfect fit. Younger than both Iverson & Tinsley, can shoot & create off the dribble. He's not a pure point, but the Heat could still use a combo guard like him.

The Heat have their MLE left, so maybe they could persuade him to sign a one year deal with more dough.

Otherwise, Tinsley gets a second chance with the Heat.

Since when is Tinsley a perfect fit for anything other than the end of the bench?
