Re: What's the best lineup for the Heat next season?
I think the line up the website gives us is our best option to start out with. Try that out for the first 5 games and see what happens.
With Richardson, Wade, and Beasley on the floor at the same time, that's a lot more firing power than most line ups last season.
But the thing is we'll need a guard who can create coming off the bench, and I doubt Beverly is going to turn into Derrick Rose when the season starts. It would be nice if we could get a matured AI for cheap and have him fill that role but I don't see that happening. I also wanted us to get Sessions, maybe Felton, but I'm not sure what the status is on that.
Our second unit will be in trouble if we don't have a distributor on the court because we'd be wasting Cook's 3 point shooting talents as well as James Jones. Haslem is a solid 4, but he's not going to create for you, which will probably lead to over playing Wade again, which is something I'm against.
I guess the off season isn't completely over yet, but if we don't find someone who can create offense (Not just score b/c even JO can do that but run an offense) other than Wade, we're basically in the same spot we were in last season. Let's all cross our fingers for Chalmers.

In the very rare scenario B-easy and Haslem are in foul trouble, JO can shift to the four and Joel is an adequate backup centre. In fact he played some excellent backup minutes last year. Plus he can play the four quite adequately against bigger 4 men. his effort, rebounding and defense is guaranteed.
Re: What's the best lineup for the Heat next season?
Chalmers-Wade or vet PG not on team yet.
Wade-Cook/QRich
Beasley-Jones/QRich
Haslem-Beasley
JO-Haslem
That's how the rotation will go, unless Beasley proves during Preseason that he cant start at sf. Then it would be like this.
Chalmers-Wade/or vet PG
Wade-Cook/QRich
Jones/QRich-QRich/Jones Right now who knows?
Haslem-Beasley Could go either way but Spo loves his vets.
JO-Haslem
Re: What's the best lineup for the Heat next season?
I'd think if they want to develop Beasley at his natural position and win during this season then the best line up would be:
PG: Chalmers
SG: Wade
SF: Richardson
PF: Haslem
C: O'neal
(the heat need 2 PF, and Haslem and Beasley is pretty much all they have, one of them has to be on the bench
Putting Beasley on the Bench Lets him be the focal point of the Heat with the second unit, that way he can be the player he was when he was in kansas
2nd Unit:
PG:Quinn, SG:Cook, SF:Jones/Wright, PF: Beasley, C:Anthony
(as for chemistry mentioned before by someone, Wade will be playing pretty much 40+minutes per night, so he'll pretty much be playing with every1 on the team)
Number 1 priority this season is win, developing beasley is second. If they don't win then Wade's not going to stay. Which will hurt the Wade/Beasley combo plan.
