Re: (Raptors) Carlos Delfino, Roko Ukic for Amir Johnson (Bucks)
the shocker is that the Raptors are trading away their european players.... and here i thought they were trying to assemble an all foreign or euro squad
Re: (Raptors) Carlos Delfino, Roko Ukic for Amir Johnson (Bucks)
Wait... I don't understand this trade at all...
Amir makes $3.6M
Roko makes $1.3M
Delfino's cap hold should be based off of 300% of his last contract which was coming off a rookie scale at $1.8M which equals $5.4M alone.
As they said, it would have to be a 2-for-2 deal to make the salaries match. I can't see the Raptors taking on Charlie Bells deal... so Kurt Thomas? makes no sense either way. I'll believe it when I see it.

I've never heard of anyone on the Knicks. Who's your best player next year? Al Harrington? Knicks fans shouldn't be dissing anyone right now about having well-known players.

Don't know where you got 300% but that's definitely not right. Wikipedia says it's 125% of the previous contract or if coming of the rookie scale the same salary he had before for a minimum of 2 years.
Wikipedia - "For 1st-round draft picks, restricted free agency is only allowed after a team exercises its option for a fourth year, and the team makes a Qualifying Offer at the Rookie-scale amount after the fourth year is completed. For any other player to be a restricted free agent, he must be at most a three-year NBA veteran, and his team must have made a Qualifying Offer for either 125% of his previous season's salary or the minimum salary plus $150,000, whichever offer is higher."
It'll work based on that.
It rounds out a nice offseason and the roster:
PG - Calderon/Jack/Banks
SG - Derozan/Belinelli/Douby
SF - Hedo/Wright/Weems
PF - Bosh/Evans/Johnson
C - Bargnani/Rasho/POB
Re: (Raptors) Carlos Delfino, Roko Ukic for Amir Johnson (Bucks)
It's a good thing we moved Delfino... we had no room for him at the 2/3 anyways.
Hedo - 36 min
DeRozan - 20 min
Belinelli - 20 min
Wright - 20 min
Hopefully Roko can outshine Ridnour and get another NBA contract... not that I feel bad for the guy if he doesn't... he can easily go back to Europe and make a nice living.
Amir Johnson? foul machine... what else is there to know?

what the hell is a weems anyway?
He's a SF/SG. Reminds me a lot of a guy we all used to know in Joey Graham...so all the skills in the world, but no basketball IQ. He'll be 15th guys down on the bench unless anyone gets hurt. POB/Banks/Weems will be our three injury reserve spots as I see it.
