Idaho/Bowling Green was an awesome game. Idaho won 43-42 a back and forth fourth quarter, basically amounted to Idaho having the ball last and capitalizing. Needed the 2 point conversion to win it.
Someone explain to me please wtf is up with all these bowl games and to what they lead...?
Will the winners play against each other or something....?
Seems like there's a freaking different 'bowl' game on each day here...
each team has a 12 game reg season......if you make it to your conference championship game (if your conf. has one) you'll have 13....
additionally, if you win AT LEAST 6 games you're bowl eligible, thus giving you either 13 or 14 reg season games.
going to a bowl game is like a post-season reward for having such a good season. your school gets money, the players get gifts, you're granted extra practice (which is why alot of coaches accept bowl game invites for the younger players), and bowls are really made to be have a good time and play football.
no, the winner of the bowls dont advance or anything, but i believe a playoff should be installed.
it's kinda stupid though, because every year there are teams that either go undefeated or have a good case to get into the BCS Championship game and they end up getting a consaltion game like Cincy (12-0) going to the Sugar Bowl or Boise State (13-0) and TCU (12-0) and going to the Fiesta.
there should be a playoff imo. there's no way you shouldnt give an undefeated team a chance to be BCS Champions
I say get rid of the season and have a playoff starting week 1. Every team gets in. 12 round playoff mother****ers. You lose the first game, season over for your ****ty team.
