7/10.

It's good, just not my usual taste.

Speaking of not my usual taste. You can blame Crazy Taxi for this one.

Ugh... The Offspring hurt my inner-ear. I can't take the pace of the sound and the pitch of the lead singer guy's voice. It makes me nauseated. They are (or were) popular, though, so maybe I am in the minority.

1/10

I've been on this kick lately... It will happen maybe once a year where I just fall into this guy's killer cuts (and there are lots)...

This is probably my favorite...

Emanon - Blind Love

Seems a tad slower paced than the album version I have, but whatever.

Nice one on the heads-up - hadn't checked Danny Brown out yet. 8/10.

Classic theme. I wasn't crazy about the movie, tbh, but the opening is unmistakable.

7/10

I'll stay with the movie score thing...

Richter really catches the mood. Like with any good composer, the score should meld seamlessly with the film so that you don't really even notice how great it is. This piece achieves that (I believe it is the composition used in all of the flashback scenes with his wife).

Excellent.

7.5/10

Here is another of my favorites and another good example of the above...

Actually that song wasn't composed specifically for the movie. It's from his 2004 album The Blue Notebooks. And yeah, it's used in the flashback scene with his wife when he's holding her, and ashes are falling down all around them.

As to the song(from another great movie), 9/10. Gorgeous. Not from a soundtrack:

Wow... Really f#cking cool. Love the coordinated, layered acoustic scale runs. Throw in some unconventional (tape recorded?) random sounds in the background... I dig it.

And, it definitely 'sounds' like Tokyo, if you know what I mean.

Here is one of my favorite 'forgotten' tracks from a 'forgotten' album... It never fails to take me back to the late-90s. Someone give me a roll!

For some reason I never got into Radiohead in the slightest. I think it could be the timing. And I just drifted into marching band music for about 4 years. Then R&B and now I'm hip hop heavy.

But this is a pretty sweet track, and I think I should start DLing Radiohead.

9/10

Something for the holidays, that puts a nice twist on old favorites. For those of us who get tired of listening to the same shit all season long:

EDIT: The ending is so tight. I wonder what kind of royalties they had to pay.

Oh dude! My girl's a dancer and she was looking for a song to choreograph to and I sat through like a ton of these type of songs tryin to help her pick. And I'd have picked the shit out if this one if she presented it as an option.

This might be a new guilty pleasure song for me. And then when someone pulls up next to me in their car I'll switch it over to:

Old-school yet modern vibe at the same time. Good beat, flow, rhymes, and lyrics that seem like there's more to them than meets the eye. Might have to check out some more by him/them.

7/10
