Default So how about that Hollinger?

the only bad thing about this is having to admit he was right.

brace yourselves, the over-exaggeration of PER is coming.

Hate numbers all you want, Hollinger was the most informed analyst ESPN ever had. And despite what the internet likes to pretend, it wasn't all based on formulas. He watches more basketball than basically anyone.

well for starters, he got rid of Rudy Gay's contract getting them under the luxury tax. It's not easy to trade an allstar calibre player. Not many people would have the balls to swap Gay for Prince.

Picked up Ed Davis as a filler. In two years when Z-Bo's contract is out, everyone is going to see this was the real steal of this trade.

Nothing Memphis does or anybody says can convince me Hollinger is not an idiot.

And there exists no evidence that can show PER is not an arbitrarily weighted stat that means jack shit.
