I disagree. Oakley was a lot better than you portray.

Sometimes the hustle player is the glue that makes a team a winner. Just as Dave Debusschere was the missing piece that made the 1970 Knicks into a championship team.

Debusschere and Oakley were more than hustle players they were all around defenders and stoppers that made their teams better and the other teams worse.

King, my favorite, would have been the best of all time if his knees held up. Otherwise it has to be between Clyde and Willis Reed.

When did Walt Clyde Frazier, Earl the Pearl Monroe and Willis Reed post on the board? And do you mean the Inside Hoops board?

Bernard King was the Man

But I also liked Oakley, and back in the Day I used to like watching "Truck Robinson" "Rory Sparrow" "Michael Ray Richardson"

But three of my unsung Knick faves were Ken "The Animal" Bannister "Jamming" James Bailey & Pat Cummings
