Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
I seriously think they have a chance of beating the Heat. They're one of the few teams that blatantly disrespects them, and they have the talent to beat them when they meet in the playoffs.
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
Not a bad prediction there OP. With an upgraded bench they certainly stand a better chance than last year, and I still think KG has more left in the tank. Plus all Miami's done is pick up three point shooters and not really improved the versatility of the bench. If Rondo can develop a jumpshot, anything is possible.
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
A lot of people conveniently forget that the Celtics were a hair away from winning that series last season. There's a real, legit hate between the Celtics and Lebron, so each game they've played against each other during the past few years has been appointment viewing.

This Boston squad has heart and seems to know how to put LeBron on the ropes. We know what Garnett, Rondo and Pierce will bring but it's gonna up to Bradley and Terry to not only fill in Allen's shoes but play even better.
If Green comes back, that's gonna be a huge bonus.
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
Yep. They should have made it this past year.
Bolder yet would be to anticipate an evenly called series. And No! Im not beating any dead horses, the officiating in the ECF was atrocious and should be brought up each time the 2012 NBA champs Miami Heat are mentioned.
Am I mad? Hell yes. I am not a Celtics fan. I am a fan of basketball
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
The only reason Boston came as close as they did is because Bosh was injured and Wade was wildly inconsistent due to a bum knee. Celtics get another year older and basically swap Allen for Terry, a clear downgrade if Allen is healthy. Meanwhile Miami greatly upgrades its depth.
The Celts' window was officially closed when Miami sent them packing in 5 in 2011.

And some people are conveniently forgetting that Boston was handily dispatched by a healthy Heat team in 2011 and would have seen pretty much the same result in 2012 were it not for Wade playing hurt and Bosh missing the first 5 games.

This^^^
Laker Fan. Hate Boston. Celtics got jobbed by the refs.
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
they need to jump on Blatche, I don't like the thought of relying on rookies to play major minutes. I think Fab Melo got hurt in summer league? What if Sullinger's draft day drop was for an actual reason?
Blatche would be a good fit in Boston or SAS. The big that both teams have been looking for since the dawn of time, well the past some odd years at least. Both staffs can keep him in check, they got dem things hanging from the rafters that will keep him in line, as well as strong, good coaches.
Re: Bold Prediction: The Celtics will get to the finals next season
I love how the bandwagon hops on one guy's injury as quickly as possible to try and downplay the Celtics' performance last postseason. Yet they ignore ours.
We'll be there at the end, hopefully healthier than last season and playing with a lot more consistency.
