Default If Mark Price played for the Phoenix Suns...

how many MVP's would he have....

here is a little blurb to refreash your memory

"PRICE, MARK (1964-). Price excelled in the National Basketball Association for twelve years. He finished his professional endeavor as the best ever free-throw shooter in NBA history, making 90.4 percent throughout his career. The Dallas Mavericks selected Price in the second round of the1986 NBA draft and traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Price holds many Cleveland franchise career records (assists, steals, free throw percentage, and three-point field goals made and attempted). In 1995 Cleveland traded him to the Washington Bullets, now the Wizards. In 1996 the Golden State Warriors signed Price and then traded him to the Orlando Magic in 1997. Price averaged 15.2 points and 6.7 assists for his entire career and achieved All-Star status four of his twelve professional years. Besides his prowess at the free-throw line, Price made over 40 percent of his three-point shots. He scored over ten thousand points and won the NBA long distance shootout twice on All-Star weekend. After retiring from the NBA in 1998, Price, his wife, Laura, and their children settled in Georgia where he coached basketball. Both of Mark's brothers, Matt and Brent, played college basketball, with Brent following his older brother into the NBA.

skill wise he can do everything Nash can do. He has 4 all star apperances on regular teams unlike NAsh. I think he would prob have 2 as well.

No he can't numbnuts. When did Price constantly lead breaks or make "holy sh!t" passes like Nash?

Price was never as creative as Nash. Never.

You must not have seen the Cavs play when Price was there. They were a very weak defensive team... especially at the center spot with Doughboy at the helm.

but they tried to play defense. The had tradtional big men in Doughboy and Williams. He wasnt in the system. But put him in the system and he turns into Steve NAsh.

its easy to create in the situation NAsh is in where the floor is wide open where no one can help without leaving a 40 plus percent 3 point shooter. A lot of the passes NAsh makes he gets bailed out because of those great shooters esp. when he jumps when he passes.

That's not true. Those Cavs were actually one of the highest ranked defensive teams at the time. They were not as good as their stats IMO, but they were solid.

And this topic is retarded. I love how high scoring teams are somehow not real basketball teams according to this dipsh!t.

Perhaps in PPG (which is a huge misleading stat anyway) but they were not good defensively. They were average at best.

But I do agree that the topic is pointless.

Not high scoring teams but teams that dont play defense. The object of a team is to win a title but that style will never win so i have noi respect for it.

My girls team if famous(were the highest scoring team in womens bball) for running the system. They have amazing regular season stats and blow out the middle and bad teams by 40 but when they play good teams in the playoffs they never win it all or even get to the finals. the system has not worked on any level in non regular season games.

Go check out the teams that have run the system. D'Antoni didnt invent this there is a book on this style by the Grinnel head bball coach.

Btw, you do realize that the last five years Steve Nash has missed a total of 12 games.

Steve Nash (although he used to break down in the playoffs) is a lot more durable than Mark Price ever was.... Mark Price in his 12 year NBA career has played 70 games 7 times. And two of those years he played under 20 games. In Steve Nash's 10 year NBA career, he has played 70 games 7 times. And he has never played less than 56 games.
