Alright so I took a break from Sandman for a while to read Scott Pilgrim but now I'm back to SM and I have a question.

Is God the Supreme being in the series? Because they mention that Lucifer Mornigstar is more powerful than Morpheus and everyone else EXCEPT the Creator.

And you know how you see the Asgardians, and the Egyptian Gods, and such and I was wondering if it was like Marvel where all the Gods are actually just other dimensional beings or if they all fall under the Created.

And if THAT'S the case were the Endless created by God because I remember Death telling someone that they were there when the Universe was born and would be there when until it died so... I'm a little confused.

But it's a great series.

It appears comic books will mean third time's a charm for the director of "300" and "Watchmen."

As broken on The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog, Warner Bros. Pictures has tapped director Zack Snyder to helm the next big screen installment of its "Superman" franchise. Snyder reportedly beat out a wide-ranging list of potential directors including Darren Aronofsky and Tony Scott

The Superman franchise has been in flux since the mixed critical and financhial reaction to 2006's Bryan Singer effort "Superman Returns." In recent months, "Dark Knight" helmer Christopher Nolan stepped on as producer to reboot the Man of Steel's screen exploits – a critical franchise for Warners in their attempts to make the DC Comics Universe its lynchpin summer blockbuster IP farm.

The film (which doesn't have a title as of yet) will come from a screenplay by frequent Nolan collaborator David S. Goyer and will apparently feature the villain General Zod – made famous in the classic Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve versions of the character.

Synder's latest movie is the CGI family flick "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole," but his next live action feature will be "Sucker Punch."

For more read The Hollywood Reporter and keep tuned to CBR and Spinoff Online for more on the fate of "Superman."

Nolan and Snyder... wonder how this Superman will turn out

I have enjoyed his work.. but have noticed that he tends to go outlandish and over the top, as opposed to holding it back a bit by being more subtle in certain aspects.

Im thinking that as long as Snyder keeps in line with Goyer and Nolan.. that I will end up liking the end result.

But im not so interested in Superman so Im not overly concerned.

Okay now I'm really confused cause the issue with Augustus Julius has Dream talking about the Greek Gods as if they're the highest dieties (outside the Endless).

Update: In their story on Snyder being hired as the Superman director, Hollywood Reporter also mention they've heard a rumor that the villain in David Goyer's script for the new movie is General Zod, so memorably portrayed by Terence Stamp in the original Superman films.

If Zod ends up really being the villain.. then they are going to need a seriously charming and great actor to pull it off..
