Default "A Team of Champions Will Never Beat a Champion Team"

Before every season there are always fans saying "such and such a team is stacked and is going all the way", yet they never once consider chemistry. I was always told when I was younger "A Team of Champions Will Never Beat a Champion Team" and there have been plenty of examples of this in the history of sports, the best example recently being the 2004 Pistons.

Do you agree with the general statement, "A Team of Champions Will Never Beat a Champion Team"?

Well, generally a team of champions will make a champion team. Why not, it's a team full of champions, surely the chance are great that they'd make a champion team no?

Champions and talents are two very different things.

Lakers are a Team of Champions and is a Championship team...So...

And the fact that your most recent team is 5yrs ago speaks volume against your sentiments.

On one hand, there have been a lot of teams that looked great on paper but never got anywhere, but on the other, how many teams have managed to repeat as champions the next season?
Difficult to decide.

i don't agree with that statement. but chemistry is important!

in 2004, if malone was healthy, that series is a toss up at worst in regards to the lakers... usually strategy and player abilities have more to do with success than dumb@ss story lines the likes of jay mariotti would trumpet

the 2005 Spurs disproves this.

unless you mean a team of the best players on various championship teams, molded on paper to try to make a well rounded team will never beat a true championship team.
