Titans 0-4 is pretty surprising too

I don't know about 'just as much.' Seeing the complete transformation of the Browns' passing offense today with Anderson instead of noodle-armed Quinn was shocking. If you would have watched the Browns the last three weeks, you would have absolutely deduced that the Browns' receivers absolutely stink outside of Braylon Edwards, who would occasionally make a miraculous catch.

Today, the Browns' OTHER receivers totally ate up the Bengals' secondary. It actually looked like an impressive group with Anderson at the helm. Massaquio, Furrey, Heiden, Harrison out of the backfield... BE didn't even have a catch and it was far and away the best performance by the passing game.

Receivers are certainly important to a QB, but a good QB can win a game with mediocre receivers. If you have a QB like Quinn, you aren't beating anyone and I don't care if you line up Fitz, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson and Antonio Gates all on the same offense (unless you have an insanely good defense, of course).

man, now that the Saints seem to be awesome I can see a situation where one wild card comes out of the NFC North...and the other comes out of the NFC South...no wild card from the East...

that is scary...

NFC East
New York Giants 4 0
Philadelphia Eagles 2 1
Dallas Cowboys 2 2
Washington Redskins 2 2

NFC North

Minnesota Vikings 3 0
Chicago Bears 3 1
Green Bay Packers 2 1

Detroit Lions 1 3

NFC South
New Orleans Saints 4 0
Atlanta Falcons 2 1
Carolina Panthers 0 3
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0 4

NFC West
San Francisco 49ers 3 1
Arizona Cardinals 1 2
Seattle Seahawks 1 3
St. Louis Rams 0 4

these Dallas-Philly games are gonna be very important...and it is time to start rooting for Atlanta to do bad...

How about the Titans being 0-4? That is the biggest surprise, imo.

This is what makes the NFL the most well run league in professional sports. Every team has hope each year, regardless of what happened the season before (except the Browns).

yeah, I can agree with that...

great QB / bad WRs > great WRs / bad QB

Brad Johnson couldn't do a damn thing with Owens/Roy/Witten last year...

Hold up, werent you the one who said that we should start Quinn at the beginning of the season? I told you that DA was the truth. He proved today that he can still make this offense productive.

That's because the Broncos have the best CB tandem in the NFL

I'm pretty sure he can't block for himself, hand the ball to himself, catch the ball by himself or play defense for that matter. Until he gets a competent team around him he's gonna look bad more often than not. He's actually played pretty well considering how much Haley has scaled back the playbook and how bad the line is.

Maybe the system and talent around him is different this year than last year?

While his line has been awful, on the few occasions he has gotten time to throw he has badly overthrown receivers or thrown behind them. Dwayne Bowe was twice overthrown after he had completely beaten his man for what should have been an easy TD yesterday. The whole team just sucks of right now, Cassel included.
