For now, but stay tuned. And aside from Bosh, you have.....what? That hairless guy who's no better than Ryan Gomes?
Jefferson and Green both have star potential.
Celtics Criticism (CC for short) basically anonts ro NKHGAJI (Not Knowing How Good Al Jefferson Is.) That's OK though. I can forgive ignorance (stupidity is another matter though.) You'll all find out soon enough.
that hairless guy finished 2nd to chris paul in ROY voting... where was gomes?
jefferson and green havn't shown half the promise that charlie has.
and who cares how good jefferson COULD be, he's already considered injury prone... show me a list of all the players that started their career off with multiple injuries only to turn their fortunes around and become stars in this league...
for your sake johnnysic, i hope jefferson shows us SOMETHING this year... cause you've gone past the point of 'pathetic' when defending his lack of ANYTHING. one more season of minimal development = jefferson is exposed.
why? celtics are just like the sixers... iverson and pierce are not good enough to bring these teams anywhere with the way they are currently constructed... they will maybe get you the 8th seed, or more than likely, won't get you in the playoffs, but will ensure that you are good enough not to get a solid pick in the draft.
You know what's funny to me? People no longer understand why a team or fans of a team would want to keep a 5-time All-Star. Players like Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce are the solution, not the problem; you want more of them, not less.
If the playoffs are unlikely we shouldn't have made it to the postseason 4 of the last 5 years.

yes. our youth is far superior to yours... its only a matter of time.
I don't think it's at all unreasonable to be as skeptical of your boys as you are of ours. Call me when the Raptors win 34 games. So long as you've got a crappy team we're not going to be impressed, and for the last 4 years the best you've done is 33.
Im hoping that Pierce does get traded, he's got about 4 years of playing at this level in him max. Ainge just keeps getting younger and younger and keeps drafting players that play Pierce's position so they can't develop. If you're gonna rebuild trade him for more picks and a younger star and rebuild. Don't hold his career hostage
Nah, Pierce wont be traded, in fact he may sign an extension to remain with the team for the rest of his career (of course having the deal doesn't really ensure that he'll be here for all of that time). The main problem that occurs when Ainge makes trades, aside from taking on long, big-money contracts for guys with knee problems, is that he ends up asking for way too much and potential deals get squashed right away.
The one proposed trade that comes to mind is when Danny was talking with the Clippers about Corey Maggette and he casually asked what it would take to get Livingston thrown into the deal, like he was the equivalent of a future second round pick or something. If he was to put Pierce on the block there's no team that could offer enough for him, especially because Pierce is highly underrated so other teams may make really low bids for him. Danny would want it all; cap space (i.e. clearing out Raef and/or wally in the process) and picks/young guys. It's not happening, unless Pierce demands a trade.
If the Clippers want P then Danny should be getting us Livingston or Brand. Maggette's a good player, but really, he's not going to bring to the table everything that P does and his being a few years younger is more than negated by his injury history, as opposed to P, a durable player that generally doesn't miss games until the the team is a playoff lock or mathematically eliminated. If Paul Pierce is traded it shouldn't just be for the sake of making a deal, it should be to improve our situation.

I wasn't referring to the Pierce to Clippers rumor.

i know im unregistered but how about a lil trade idea for pierce
orlando trades
grant hill
boston trades
paul pierce
hill is in the last year of his max contract and would provid some cap relief for boston while giving the magic the marquee player they would otherwise try and sign in 07. but do you think ainge would make a cap clearing trade like that?

Oh Wow, That's a FANTASTIC IDEA! Trade Pierce for NOTHING
Are you a GM, because if you aren't you might as well apply because you will get the Celtics job for sure
Offseason = BPPTP (Bad Paul Pierce Trade Proposals.)
Agreed...****s annoying.
And screw this youth movement crap. You dont trade a Paul Pierce so you can get younger with guys who have "potential". Ass backwards, this aint no damn video game man.
