Default Browns GM George Kokinis no longer involved with the team

NFL.com wire reports says:

General manager George Kokinis is "no longer actively involved" with the Cleveland Browns organization, the team said in a statement Monday night.

Earlier in the day, several reports surfaced indicating that Kokinis had been fired by the 1-7 team. Citing unnamed league sources, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and NBC affiliate WKYC-TV3 in Cleveland said Kokinis was escorted out of the Browns' headquarters by security on Monday.

"In response to rumors and reports that Kokinis was escorted out of the building today, the Browns deny those reports," the Browns' statement said. "In the interest of protecting the parties involved we will withhold further comment."

Mangini is next if the Browns don't finish the season strong.

Why don't you just say he's next?

Yeah... Our organization is a total f#cking disaster. Ozzy needs to come home and fix this. Have some loyalty to the city that loved you. Baltimore makes me sick. I have such hostility toward the Ravens, it almost defies logic... A bunch of scumbags.

Yeah. I hate Baltimore. That whole situation is flubbed up and we deserve better than that. If I were in Cleveland, I would protest the games. That would send a stronger message than having signs at the games like I see some fans doing.

Heard the fan interview on Mike and Mike this morning. Apparently, this guy had a meeting with Randy Lerner. Man, what a once in a lifetime thing. That's every fan's dream. To sit down with the owner of your fav. team and discuss stratagy.

Lerner said for the guy to call his secretary in the morning, and a 30-hour meeting supposedly turned into a 2-hour discussion about the state of the team and what not.

Wow...... lucky guy. Give me two hours with Lerner and I would have a job in the front office.

It was Mike Randall or “Dawg Pound Mike”...

(guy in the middle with the dog bone hat)

He's been all over the media, because he is the one organizing the protests of the team. It has caught fire and it looks like they are going to go through with it. In Week 10, the Browns host the Ravens on Monday night. Mike has informed the fans to stay out of the stadium for the kickoff. After kickoff, they will return to their seats and be as rabid as usual, but they want the stadium to be totally empty for the initial kickoff so that people recognize our disgust.

Trust me... Lerner didn't meet with Mike out of the goodness of his heart. He did it because he is trying to reverse what would a massive PR nightmare in front of a national audience.
