For the 4 Bucs fans on this board, here's today's game thread.
The Buccaneers willl look to get their first win of the season, in throwback style, today vs former NFC Central Division rival, the Green Bay Packers. The Bucs will be starting their first round draft pick, Josh Freeman, in this game.
The Bucs will be wearing their creamsicle throwbacks for the first time since making the switch over to their current uniforms/logo (which is the best in the NFL).
The first Buccaneer great, Lee Roy Selmon, will be the first Buc inducted into the Buccaneers Ring of Honor during halftime, and the 1979 Buccaneers team will be honored. The '79 Bucs made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game before falling to the LA Rams. A few seasons prior, the Bucs were in the midst of a 26-game losing streak. It was pretty amazing for a team to go from losing 26 games to being within minutes of the Super Bow in a span of 3 seasons.
Antonio Bryant for the Bucs will not play. Big loss for a struggling offense. Look for Kellen Winslow to step up big for the rookie.
Green Bay is 4-3 and has not had much success in Tampa over the years. The Packers are coming off an emotional loss to the Vikings, and have a matchup with the Cowboys in the next week. GB better not look past a hungry Tampa team today. With that said, it'll take a PERFECT game for my Bucs to get a win today, and the rest of the season for that matter.
