They used the words "regressed" and "declined in the last five (IIRC) years" when describing Wade last night. They also mentioned how Wade has done nothing to combat this. They said Jordan and Kobe later on in their careers worked on a post game and jumper whereas Wade continues to throw his body while attacking the rim.

This has been known for the past few years.. I don't know about using the word regressed, at least up till this season but his game definitely hasn't evolved like it should. At best it's stayed baseline.

Wade's last superstar level season was 2011, when Lebron came onboard. Part off it is physical decline, and I think part of it is mental. The latter being that he's had to subjugate much of his game to let Lebron take the lead role. While it was needed for the Heat to function, for Wade personally I think it's impacted him more *mentally* than he lets on.

Wade was an undersized SF n college and took punishment.
Obviously he is a tweener' , but his transition to SG was smoother than I ever thought.
Not afraid to bag with the big fella's and walking with 1 or 2 rings IMO is far better than getting no rings or sitting camped out at the 3 pt line , and shooting Allen daggers.

D-Wade is only a playoff player , but he still has 4 years left in him.

Just enjoy one of the great SG's of our time and history.

As tough as he is , expect this player to adjust as well as his team...
*right now Heat need his type of play.

u mean 2010.2011 was last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and how is it mental?dwade is from chicago..southside to be exact..one of the roughest hoods in america.


its simple...wade never evolved his game to ensure he would have a longer career.thats the main reason he wanted bosh and lebron so bad.its quite simple to see that now.

he knew in order for him to get anymore rings he had to get them and we all know wade wanted to stay in miami i mean cmon its miami.lol

stop blamin it on mental and stuff cuz thats so far from the truth and its not even funny.

dwade is what steve francis would have been but unfortunately francis had a bad attitude and wade for the most part had a good one.....but they both are players that depended on their athleticism 90 percent of the time and played above the rim and played wreckless.

i mean u gotta give wade credit...hes prolly gonna be one of THE worst players to ever make it to the hall of fame....i know that might sound mean but u compare wade career to jordan,kobe,jerry west and numerous other hall of famers.......hell even lebron and its not even close........NOT EVEN CLOSE.

he could have been summin special if he at least got a mid range jumper.....so sad

He is lazy. Did not add one thing to his game in the last several years. It'll be fun watching him get more and more frustrated and spend even more time in referees' ears, hopefully to no avail.
