why does every team we play shoot 60% against us in the first half? That is a terrible terrible terrible way to play and possibly win.

I want to love this team, but this year they have no heart like in the past they are just giving in.

Everyone looks lost on the court. Part of the issue is our owner....and the fact he has no love for the game and wants to sell the team anyways.

Well we played a good first quarter.

I don't know what the deal is. At least we saw a glimmer of hope with the Atlanta game.

Best case scenario: Our offensive slump is mainly due to conditioning and injuries and will improve as the season progresses.

Worst case scenario: This is as good as we're gonna get. Larry has lost the team and will make a quiet exit in the Spring.

Bonnell's take:

Quote:

Wow

That was right up there among the worst games in Bobcats history, and I have seen the vast majority of them.
I wasn't in Auburn Hills, but it was telling when I heard Larry Brown took so long to open the locker room to the media. That means he let them have it forever, and that was appropriate. It took a quarter before the Bobcats fell apart, but there are themes emerging: A huge halftime deficit, an erosion in the formula they'd assembled (defend, drive, rebound) and a sense of surrender.
They're in for two challenging days of practice, but not the kind you expect. Many of you want punishment. Brown will regain his temper overnight, then start teaching. He should have their attention. And if he doesn't, shame on the players.

If coach has lost the team and quietly exits after the season then will the Bobcats team disband? Surely if LB can't whip our guys into a consistent and cohesive whole then there's no one else on the planet who can. What coach would even attempt to try and succeed where LB failed? This is a scary proposition.

There's nothing wrong with LB's teaching, but rather are the players too careless and unresponsive. Felton now plays one of the crappiest PG and can't seem to conduct effective pick and rolls or find open man. Wallace still drives a lot but can't finish or get a call foul, and can't hit open jumper or 3. Augustin stinks now though I'm not sure if he is hurt. Bell doesn't drive or shoot well. Diaw has become a turnover machine.

The most efficient guy I believe currently is Mohammed. No one else has the intensity as Mohammed has.

It seems like no one has enough willpower for a W since whenever they close the gap they falter very quickly. See that game against Orlando, we self destructed as soon as 4th quarter began.

I agree that the problem isn't LBs teaching and I didn't mean to imply that. I meant as far as the players being willing to learn AND perform. I agree that our guys just don't seem to have willpower and that Nazr is the only player with drive.
