Default More details on the Byron Scott issue...

...and vindication of his critics. Let me first say that I have not pinned all the failure of the team on Scott, but I do hold him accountable for his bad rotations and vanilla offense. Now, I read that during the past few days, details have come out about Scott:

Quote:
Privately, West bluntly told friends: “We really don’t run any plays.”

REALLY? Are you ****ing kidding me? I wish I was wrong. WTF have I been saying these past years? Pick and roll or pick and pop options off of CP3's back. Despite the fact he has no shooters, he runs an offense which just has everybody spot up around CP3. Why let the offense rely on shooters who can't shoot? No motion, no off ball movement and cutting, no tempo changes for the transition game, nothing. NOTHING.

Quote:
Embarrassed by the Lakers on Sunday, the Hornets beat the Clippers on Monday, and the team’s departure to Phoenix for Wednesday night’s game had been pushed back to accommodate the coach’s golf game.

wow

You can read the rest with more details here.

really who cares..it's such a mess.. scott made mistakes, the front office gave him nothing to work with then held him accountable...

for hornets fans maybe a good cleansing from top to bottom is what's needed, scott now, gm at the end of the season when it becomes clear his vision of the future was flawed

I care when everybody in the media and many here paint the picture of Scott as the victim of the decisions of a bad GM. Scott had a hand in this collapse, and it bothers me most ignore it.

I don't deny that Scott getting fired is his own fault, but damn if he isn't a good coach.

Toronto, Sacramento, and pretty much every crappy team in the league is now waiting to see what Scott does. IF he doesn't wait until Phil retires in L.A. to take over there.....

Sacramento already hired a new coach. Last season was when they had an interim HC after they fired Theus.

Sure he made quite a few mistakes, but he's a great coach. The Hornets organisation have made a huge mistake; they're not gonna find anyone better than Byron for the job who can improve the team beyond the level they are at!

They've kinda hit a ceiling with their current setup.

Ah, my mistake. Forgot the Kings were even in the league during the summer. Anybody start the Raptors for Scott chants?
