You're SERIOUSLY understating the magnitude of what this kid just accomplished. Believe it or not, rookies dropping 55 in their 7th game in the league doesn't happen every day.

not to mention he did it in only 3 QUARTERS!

I'm not the one who said career 40%. I'm explaining why people view him as a 40% shooter.

No you're just being ridiculous but ISH is known for having posters whose opinions side on the extreme/ridiculous. So nothing new.

And he got credit for dropping 55 from me.

Awesome accomplishment but hardly has me saying "Omg Brandon should have been the #1 pick because prior to this game I didnt have this opinion about him! Brandon > Blake". Miss me with this i was born yesterday crap.

Yeah a lot of people have what I call 'hindsight vision'. Which means, unless you were saying before the pre-season even started that Jennings should have gone #1 overall, then STFU. Hindsight is 20/20. If your Grandma had balls she would've been your Grandfather, etc.

If I had told you before the season that Jennings would score 55 points in his 7th game in the league, including 29 in one quarter on 12 of 13 shooting, I'm pretty sure you would have called me extreme/ridiculous...

I'm just trying to figure out if there's anything he could have accomplished in these first 7 games that would have made you say "Hmm, maybe he will be better than Griffin." Is there?

My argument isnt Brandon has zero chance on being better than Blake Griffin. Its if the draft was done again today given what we saw from whatever rookies you list? Blake would still be the #1 pick. Some feel after this showing of 55pts and his current stat production he has a case for #1 pick in the draft. What happens if we revisit this thread in April and his avgs drop? Are people gonna turn into Indian givers and take back what they said? thats my whole point with lets wait. Much like lets wait to see if Blake justfies where he was picked. Some of the logic just isnt sound imo here. Thats where I'm arguing.

If you and others feel he will be better than Blake Griffin? Cool.

Hey there was a period where D.Wade was playing some bad defense for a stretch that rivaled AI.

I don't even see anybody claiming to have 20/20 hindsight. I'm certainly not hiding the fact that I would have drafted Ty Lawson or Dajuan Blair if I were the one making the #10 pick. I'm not calling out the other GMs for passing on Jennings because I would have done the same.

But if the draft were re-done today, the order would change. And that's true every single year, even a few games into the season.

It's just a shame that in the long run, you're not winning anything big with a ball-dominating 6-1 PG who likes to shoot fade-away threes with two defenders on his face, only wants to go left and doesn't play defense.

It remains to be seen which comes first - Skiles putting the kid in his place or his outside shot leaving him.

Look for players to spend a year overseas in the future. It really helps develop their coping skills as they get ready for the NBA. Of course, it gives them a lot of looks at different types of players overseas as well. There is a little bit of everything overseas.
