Seed Team Division Record

1. New Orleans (xyz*) South 13-2

Wild Card

NFC Scenarios:
  • Philadelphia can clinch NFC East Division with:
  • a win or tie
  • Philadelphia can clinch a first round bye with:
  • a win OR
  • a tie and a Minnesota loss or tie
  • Dallas can clinch NFC East Division with:

The Bengals will come to play as they did not clinch #3. I would actually prefer the Bengals to win as the Texans would make the playoffs. The Texans have won four in a row and would play either a fairly inexperienced Bengals team or a shorthanded Patriots team. The Texans are my dark horse team.

This is only their second playoff appearance since the 1991 season. They may have been in the league for awhile, but their postseason experience is minimal. They're not much more experienced than Houston in that regard.

If you've been in the league for a good number of years regardless of little playoff experience, I doubt that there will be any postseason jitters.
