Brady always had a good line, if that's what you're implying, but in terms of RB/WR/TE they just weren't all that good, sorry.

Why can't people just enjoy Peyton Manning, & Tom Brady for that matter? I know I do. A neutral fan will hear all this GOAT talk about Manning and hate him for the hype and then becomes a hater. I know I felt that way about Brady before, but now that I just watch him play and am better off for it. Remove the hype of what the fans/media say and you'll see things you probably didn't see before.

I think this thread and the game thread are pretty solid evidence that people are enjoying both of them very much...

obviously comparisons are going to come up, that is only natural...and that is kind of the purpose to debating on sports forums...you can't just expect 5 pages of nothing but "wow, he is awesome, I like him"...

Peyton and Brady comparisons will be made till the end of time...

Pats won the SBs in 02, 04, & 05

2005 probowlers:

Tom Brady
Tedy Bruschi

2004 probowlers:

Richard Seymour
Ty Law
Willie McGinest

(not one offensive player, including Brady)

2002 probowlers:

Tom Brady
Troy Brown
Lawyer Milloy
Ty law

Indy won the SB in 2007

2007 probowlers:

Peyton Manning
Tarik Glenn
Jeff Saturday
Marvin Harrison
Reggie Wayne

(no defenders)

and yeah I know probowls don't mean as much as they should, but still interesting to look at...

Remember that poll of living HOF QBs about who they'd take? 20 of em, Brady got 2.5 votes (thanks Montana).

'03 was the only year he didn't have a lot to work with offensively. Calling Troy Brown a solid #2 and saying Dillon was old is just BS. Dillon had his best year in New England. He rushed for over 1,600 yards and had 13 TDs, but you just want to say he was old at 30?

I am not sure who the greatest QB of all time is, but us Colts fans who live in the state of Indiana and really all over the world have been blessed with an amazing talent. Really the whole Colts franchise has been good to us. Sure there have been some tough playoffs losses over the years, but the consistency from year-to-year and the Super Bowl win in 2006 make it all worth while. Go Colts!

Honestly, I think Peyton has done more to cement his legacy (outside of the Super Bowl year) the last two seaons, than ever before. This Colts eam should not be 9-0. Their defense has been very depleted this year and the running game has been extremely inconsistent. He has had to break in two rookie WR's and is still putting up MVP numbers.

I am a Colts fan and was scared sh!tless that the Pats were going to be us by 20+ without Sanders, Jackson, and Hayden in the secondary. Peyton, time and time again, even as he gets older, seems to put together quick scoring drives when the Colts need them most.

Peyton has never had as complete and sound defenses as Brady has had at NE. This is the first year in awhile I can actually feel comfortable saying New England doesn't have a good defense. I don't know who I would say is better in the or ranked higher in the GOAT discussion. I do know that I am 22years old, and for the last 11 years of being a Colts fan I've had the pleasure of watching Peyton Manning quarterback the team I root for, and I wouldn't change that for anything.

Montana, Favre, Elway and Arguably Young are still ahead of Manning.

Putting Manning above Montana is definitely pre-mature.
