Default Christopher Wallace...

Most of you are probably saying "who?"

He's more known as Biggie Smalls or The Notorious B.I.G.

Simple question. What's his best three songs? Think about flow, beat, lyrics, etc.

I think most hip hop fans know who Christopher Wallace is... but anyways, to the question. I'm only basing my top 3 off of the cd's I got. "ready to die", "born again", & "duets: the final chapter."

1) It has been said
2) Dead Wrong
3) Juicy/Big Poppa/Ni**as
4) Hustler's Story

50 & him on "Realest Ni**as" was tight too.

Wow this is a little embarrassing. I knew I had heard the name before, but I was thinking of a certain sports novel writer. Matt Christopher. I'll just slink away now.

I think I remember him. Was he the guy that always wrote books about sports that were aimed more for younger kids?? If so, I think I actually remember reading some of his books in elementary school. If not, then just ignore all that and move on...

Haha exactly. I remember reading like, one or two of his books from a good 7-8 years ago. Imo, they sucked ass. But that's just me.

too many great songs by biggie, but some of the songs he did with other people were amazing aswell, my favorite collaborations were

1. flava in ya ear remix
2. brooklyns finest
3. dead wrong (even though it is a real colab)

Quote:
[Notorious B.I.G.]
Uhh
I got seven Mac-11's, about eight, .38's
Nine 9's, ten Mac-10's, the ****s never end
You can't touch my riches
Even if you had MC Hammer and them 357 *****es
Biggie Smalls, the millionaire, the mansion, the yacht
The two weed spots, the two hot glocks
HAH, that's how I got the weed spot
I shot dread in the head, took the bread and the landspread
Lil' Gotti got the shotty to your body
So don't resist, or you might miss Christmas
I tote guns, I make number runs
I give emcees the runs drippin;
when I throw my clip in the A.K., I slay from far away
Everybody hit the D-E-C-K
My slow flows remarkable
Peace to Matteo
Now we smoke weed like Tony Montana sniff the llello
That's crazy blunts, mad L's
My voice excels from the avenue to jailcells
Oh my God I'm droppin **** like a pigeon
I hope you're listenin, smackin babies at they christening
So you better grab your pistol
cause if you sit still, I'm gonna make your ****in **** spill
And I'm talkin bout buckets, why did I have to do it?
Sadat said **** it, you got a gun, ***** bust it
Cause I got mo' shots to pop-ya
Big Pop-pa, breakin you off somethin proper
Signin off is the hardcore rap singer
a.k.a. crack slinger, bring it anytime *****

i love that verse

Like craigthomasb said, there are too many good-great songs by BIG to try and narrow it down to three, but it is impossible to mention his dope songs without bringing up his storytelling joints. For me, Everyday Struggle, Ni99as Bleed, and I Got A Story To Tell are classic. The second verse of Everyday Struggle showcases BIG at his finest.

"I have the masterplan/ I'm in the caravan/ On my way to Maryland/
With my man Two-Techs/ To take over this projects/
They call him Two-Techs, he tote two techs/
And when he starts to bust he likes to ask,"Who's next?"/
I got my honey on the Amtrak/ With the crack/ In the crack of her ass/
Two pounds of hash in the stash/ I told hon' to make some quick cash/
I told her she could be lieutenant b!tch got gassed/ At last/
I'm literally loungin' black/ Sitting back countin' double digit thousand stacks/
Had to re-up/ See what's up with my peeps/
Toyota Deal-A-Thon had it cheap on the jeeps/
See who got smoked, what rumors was spread/
Last I heard, I was dead wit' six to the head/
Then I got the phone call, it couldn't hit me harder/
We got infiltrated, like Nino at The Carter/
Heard Tech got murdered/ In some town I never heard of/
By some b!tch named Alberta/ Over nickel-plated burners/
And my b!tch/ Swear to God she won't switch/
I told her when she hit the bricks/ I'll make the hooker rich/
Conspiracy/ She'll be home in 3/ Until then I looks out for the whole family/
A true G/ That's me/ Blowing like a bubble/
In this everyday struggle(right)"

Lyricism at it's finest right there.

Definately one of my fav songs ever. Big kicks it off with two really nice verses, and then Em finishes it off real strong.
