Earl Monroe needs a spot on the list, as do Shawn Kemp and David Thompson.

Also Karl Malone appaers twice and both times way too high.

Penny was popular real qucik and it died down real fast. Penny from 93-98 was more popular than anytime in Webber's 15 year career.

This dude had a F-N doll voiced by Chris Rock. Started four straight All-Star games, was on Dream Team III and was compared to MJ.

His popularity > C-Webb

I was thinkin' real hard about all three, Pearl and Kemp more so than Skywalker.

I don't know why I have Malone twice.

Problem with that list is that they are all great players. I think some players who weren't all-stars, but had big followings and people still ask about should be included.

First one that comes to mind to me is Manute Bol. I'd also add Gheorge Muresan.

On the shorter side of things, I think Spud Webb and Mugsy Bogues deserve mention.

Most fanbases have a long litany of bench players and garbage men throughout their history that were well-liked. On an all-time list, they might not make the cut though.

They are know but I don't think they're more known than anyone on the list.

This is a very subjective list. Are we considering popularity just in the US or the world, wouldn't it be somewhat different?

Spud Webb was very popular in his day. Before I married my wife, she wasn't into sports at all and she knew and liked Spud Webb a lot.

I feel compelled to give Larry Johnson an honorable mention at the least... Wouldn't call his popularity everlasting or anything, but was certainly popular in the 90's.
