Default Wheres the love for Philip Rivers?!

Seriously. Dude had crazy numbers last year, 2nd best in the NFL (4,009 yards 34TDs 11INTs 105.5 passer rating) but got snubbed for the Pro Bowl Hes on fire this year too with 2.938 yards 19TDs/6INTs 101.6 passer rating which is 3rd best right now. Not to mention hes doing it with....Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd. He has nowhere near the talent at the WR spot Manning, Brees and Brady do. Why does no one ever give Rivers any love?

Vincent Jackson is one of the best WRs in the NFL...he is huge

6 foot 5, 230 lbs...

he also ran a 4.38...which is fast as f*ck...

in fact, the name of this thread should be "Wheres the love for Vincent Jackson?!"

Add to that...

Sims-Walker
Sidney Rice
Santonio Holmes

So thats 16 WRs I would take over VJ. So ok, I guess he would be top 20 but anyone who thinks Rivers has the amount of talent to throw to as Peyton, Brees and Brady, they are nuts.

I suppose he could somehow find his way off a top 10 list but not top 20...

Welker isn't nearly as good as his numbers indicate btw...he is just a biproduct of Brady and Moss...there is no way he is as gifted as Vincent is...

what would make you think that Sims-Walker is a better WR than Vincent is?

Vincent Jackson is borderline top 5. Moss, Andre Johnson, Fitz and Calvin are the only 4 that I would for sure take over him and Wayne is pretty close. Jackson is as physically imposing, gifted and has as good of hands as any receiver in the NFL. His numbers are elite this season too.

Vincent Jackson has grown into a legit number 1 wideout in the leaue. So Rivers has that going for him.

He also has one of the premier pass catchers out of the backfield in Sproles.

He has a GREAT tight end.

He has complimentory wideouts that are HUGE. All his guys that catch balls are 6'5 it seems and they run fast.

He has weapons that are comparable to Manning. It's not that big of a difference, really.
