He goes for every pass trying to get a turnover. It's like a basketball player going for a steal in the passing lane at the top of the arc. If he gets it he gets an easy layup, if he completely misses he leaves a guy open for a wide open 3.

You could get Asante on a pump-n-go on every play if you wanted.

What a horrible offensive series the Eagles are having. Maclin was wide open downfield and he underthrows him. But the penalties have been piling up and keep pushing them back and back. Now Skins giving extra oppurtunties are capatalizing. Eagles OL holding them for dear life...they could be flagged every down so far. Geeze.

These are the Deadskins missing key starters. Why are they down?

Pierre Garcon with the TD! Looked like Jacques Reeves he went right past, think the safety was supposed to help and didn't. Pierre beats Jacques for the score, what's the world coming to?

they still have the #4 defense in the NFL...

every game they have played this year has been close...

tell Reid to stop playing around with Mike Vick though, that idea should just be seen as a failure at this point...

Probably the dumbest post in this thread.

"Oh, who cares if he gets beat or doesn't make tackles! He will still get 8 INT's a year! Oh boy!"

**** that ****. Where is the respect for a complete corner? Give me those guys over these gamblers who hurt the team as much as help them.

That's true. Like I said, don't let a bad team like the Skins finish drives and get confidence. It gives us an identity, even if for a game. Y'alls d better step up cuz nobody on our offense is that scary.

I'd rather see Philly win the East instead of Dallas but after this horrendous season, I'll take the hateful nonsense spewed by the Philly drunks after a Loss to the "Deadskins". PHilly sports talk radio would be a must-hear tomorrow.

Asante just has a knack for the ball. While he gambles, giving the offense that pigskin back is huge. And the reason he got a fat contract. He gets turnovers and doesnt get beat that badly to say who cares. Deangelo Hall or Falls as I used to call him is a perfect example of talented CB who gambles and hurts his team. Asante picked off some big passes for the Birds and Pats.

He may not be the physical CB whose run support is awesome. He may not be the best cover corner where you can sit him on an island. But in the right defensive scheme you'll get results and he unlike some CBs will not drop the INT. He'll catch it more times than not. I view Asante the same way I dont Ronde Barber. Never boosted them up as the best based on "stats" but you cant deny they arent good. You dont make plays, force turnovers luckily. And being a system player isnt a bad thing because you can get results.

I'd take Revis over Asante but I will not nor ever complain he's an Eagle.
