Default Fred Kerber is a good man

he predicts the Nets will win above 50 games and make the ECF.

I like how he takes into account the experience of many of our players and how that will factor out come playoff time. I can also agreen with him on the 50 wins, but I'm not 100% sold on a return to the ECF, this is how I see the top 4 seedings working out:

1. Miami
2. Detroit
3. New Jersey
4. Cleveland

The Nets could very well pick up the 2nd seed instead of Detroit, but I feel like whoever they face in the 2nd round will be a good opponent and that nothing is a sure bet.

actually I doubt he meant for the fourth seed for the Nets,

i think he meant Miami grabs the four seed because they coast through the regular season, Jersey gets 2 or 3. Pistons or Bulls get trounced in round 2.

this guy says the nets lose to miami in the ECF. there's nothing wrong with saying that but i doubt that it happens.

either a couple things go wrong and the nets never make it to the ECF, or a number of players (RJ, krstic, wright and the rookies) who are on the rise push the nets over the top, and i mean way way over the top, of miami. i'm talking about sweep or near-sweep.

the problem with all this prediction crap is that with the nets there are too many unknown factors. i think we can safely predict that we will be the class of the division. predicting anything beyond that is foolish IMO. better to just enjoy what we have and enjoy wherever the ride takes us this year.

there's no hurry because barring disaster we're going to be a good team for years. put the pressure on the top dogs, not the nets. it's almost always easier and better to be the underdog who overachieves...

it would still be nice to see Kidd win a ring with him at the helm.

In the league right now there is no one, that deserves a ring as much as him. That would be the last piece to his career, that or a MVP but I think his last chance for that was stolen from him, So Hopefully he can get that ring when hes still at the lead of the Nets.
