- Dallas has the #4 offense in the NFL right now, ahead of the Vikings
-Houston has the #3 passing offense in the NFL, ahead of the Saints
-the Jets have the #2 rushing offense in the NFL, ahead of everyone cept the Titans
-the Packers have the best total defense in the NFL, this actually makes sense to me cause I saw what they did to Dallas and they have a f*ckin sick secondary...Woodson is amazing...but I thought I would just mention it anyway for those that just assumed it was the Steelers or Giants or something...
-the Redskins have the best pass defense in the NFL
the Bengals have the best run defense in the NFL (that might drop now that Roy Williams is gone)
anyway, thought that stuff was kind of interesting...

steven jackson is definitely a stud but i've explained why i'd take rice over him although it's not by a large margin. SJAX's age and injury proneness factors into the decision obviously.

Their entire secondary is underrated. Laron Landry has developed into a very high quality safety. Carlos Rogers has always been underrated as well. Fred Smoot can still play a bit. The Redskins defense is seriously good. If they had a decent offense they'd be recognized for their efforts. London Fletcher is so good it's not even funny...
Carolina has the #2 secondary I believe which is pretty surprising as well.

Nah, they've been good all year. I don't think their rush D is very good and I think it's been banged up a bit too, but that secondary is overlooked because the team is doing so poorly. It's solid all around and it's not really that much about Deangelo Hall.
Re: team stats that seem strange to me right now...
Bengals have been shutting down teams' running game all season long. Roy Williams has been hurt for much of it, and they haven't missed a beat in terms of running defense. They badly miss his presence against the short/medium passes, though.
Re: team stats that seem strange to me right now...
Roy Williams takes alot of shyt, sometimes warranted. But how has his impact as a veteran player affected the Bengals defense? While you say they didnt miss a beat without him while pointing out areas they do miss. Did his addition helped change the mentality of the players? Is he somewhat a motivator like a Brian Dawkins was. Even when he didnt play the defense still did its thing. But he was the leader of that defense and it showed. Same thing with Roy or not too much? You would know better than me. I'm kinda assuming Roy plays big part of why you dont laugh at the Bengals defensively anymore. Tell me if I'm wrong.
