It's like anything that can happen does happen.

NBA players are much bigger than the rest of the general population, in Greg's case not only is he tall but he's 280lbs, that's a lot more pressure on your ligaments. Just look at how many big guys 6"8 and up have gruesome knee injuries that guys under 6"4 seemingly don't have to deal with as frequently.

My cousin has joint problems and I've been talking to him. He said basically that it's worse if he moved around while it's dislocated. He got it straight pretty fast.

The knee cap needs to be reset. It sounds like the black griffen injury, the exact same injury.

At least he will mature a lot sooner as a person. He has to go through a lot and has lots of time to think of things other than the next game. That's the good part. Life is more than basketball, thank God.

You never now what all this is good for Oden. I'm a bit disappointed he can't play this season, but hey, this is not the end of his life.

you can tell that the kid just wants to play ball. And I just get sick of people cracking jokes about him being a bust and so on...its annoying and i feel for Blazers fans.

this really proves that centers are a dying breed and the last freakish guy who actually has an offensive game to be a superstar will be SHAQ.

Greg's always been an extremely mature kid, relative to his peers. I'm not saying he doesn't love basketball, but he's never seemed the type to be defined by it.

edit: sticky this please

That can't possibly be. Everything we've heard from the Blazers fan on this board would indicate that he is NOT injury prone.
