Lovie has 2 years remaining on his contract. I just don't see the penny penching ownership eating those 2 salaries and adding on 2 more at the same time. I'd be shocked.
Smith is making it hard to sell anyone on keeping him. That timeout/challenge thing won't be talked about by many (because the Bears stink) but it was single most stupid thing I have seen a coach do all season. The fanbase is on the verge of a revolt if this keeps up. Ownership is going to feel a dent in their wallets in loss of merchandise/concessions next season if they retain Smith/Angelo. They have no supporters left.
Bring in a big name and they can bump-up season ticket prices to make up for the cost. Chicago fans have shown that they will spend big money for a winner.(and considering how crappy most of the teams are losers too)
Much like the Bulls, this Bears team is unwatchable. I haven't sat down and watched a full game since week 1.
