Default Is It Ever Okay To Change Favorite Teams?

What would it take for you to switch from your current favorite team to a new one? Is it ever justified?
-Consistenly bad front office moves?
-Poor Play over a number of years?

The only 2 conditions in which I might switch teams would be
-My home state adding a pro franchise (will never happen)
-I move to the city of the team I am switching to. I think this one is sort of justified given that that team would be much easier to follow.

Opinions?

My favorite teams are Phoenix and Toronto.

If I moved to say, Charlotte, then the 'Cats would be my favorite team.

If the Suns struggled for 5 years, I wouldn't switch teams. Same with Toronto(well...I think as a raps fan this is a given)

If Victoria or Vancouver got a team, they'd become a new favorite

If the Suns lost all their good players, and the ones I liked, and added a few I didnt like, I still would be a fan. Same with Toronto

I move wherever Dwyane Wade goes. And since he stays with Miami i think, it will be Miami for this period:)

Bet anyone who tries to do this still checks out the scores and reads up on how their "old" team is doing. It's not something you can break.

more like adding a favorite team to your already existing favorite teams is the rite thing to do. i can't even imagine thinking about putting a team before my lakers and sixers. actually i did imagine it once, but it would be damn hard to do. i would love to put the sixers before the lakers since i am closer, but after 18+ years I find it impossible.

I am a Toronto fan who thinks defense is the most important part of basketball. Obviously switching teams is not allowed to me .

Unless you are a player fan or if a new team comes around.

That's a great point. I'm not considering it just thinkin about when it would be okay. But I think there has to be a really good reason for someone to change teams. I hate it when people ride the 'wagon.

i'm a long time Warriors fan (and Bulls an 2nd.) but no matter how horrible my team(s) are and how cussing stupid the Warriors owners and front office are, i am a fan through and through.

I used to be the biggest Bulls fan. Do you think I'm still a Bulls fan? Teams change.

Player fan here, favorite teams change based on player movement.
