There is no "contingency plan" because they're far too confident in their abilities to think that way. A guy like Percy Harvin isn't going around wondering whether or not he's ready to play football at a higher level when he's ripping off 20 yards or a TD every time he touches the football. And even if they did think that way, worrying about injuries is just another reason to go pro early, to make sure that you get that multi-mill contract, whether you're a "bust" or not. Get all that NFL money and you can still go back to school if it's important to you.

I can't find the link right now, but the Draft Advisory Committee, NFL employees who advise a potential early entrant on where they'd be drafted, didn't even give him a 1st round grade. The source said McShay has no clue what he's talking about in regards to QBs. If that's the case, a much more sound decision.

All mock drafts that i saw had him going to either the rams, skins, or bills in the first round. most had locker>clausen>bradford as well..

Perhaps Locker knew the chance of him not going #1 overall or even being the first QB taken was likely. Wasnt big on him anyway so whatever.
