Default Would you still be happy if your NFL team...

Started the season 15-0, then the coach intentionally rests his starters in the final game against a team they could have easily beaten, end up losing to them, but go on to win the Super Bowl anyway?

Of course you would. But with that said, no coach would pass on a shot at going undefeated.

They conducted a poll on the local radio station and the responses were 50/50.

Speaking as an aforementioned Pats fan (fairweather as hell, but still a fan) I can tell you that winning an SB ring will make you forgive and forget any and everything that happened along the way. I bet Giants, Colts, and Steeler fans that have greatness fresh in the memory would all agree.

well theirs no alternative on the scenario but i'm sure that if the follow up was or have your qb injured and go into the playoffs with your back up qb the responses would be a lot different.

I don't care if you were an 8-8 wildcard and knew your entire receiving core was on coke, if your team wins the SuperBowl you're happy. 50% of the respondents simply have no clue.

As a Colts fan, of course. But 19-0 and being the "best team ever" sounds a lot better.

As a Patriots fan, i was happy that they went for it all instead of resting their starters, even if it cost them the superbowl in the end. can you pass on a chance to be the greatest team of all time?

Yep. Goal is to win a SB. Now if that lost followed up with a loss in the SB or before it then I'd look back at that last game and curse the coach for killing our momentum.

Most logical fans would have no problem. As long as home field has been clinched, it's fine. I'd rather lose game #16 than one of the playoff games.

Eagles fans only need wins against the Giants and the 'Boys to consider the season a success.

10 wins buys Reid and McNabb extension after extension
