I'm not sure on J.R. Smith. He can shoot and dunk, but what else can he do. All I have been hearing is that he isn't very bright and stubborn. On top of that, he plays no defense. Just alot of potential.
And what happened to Marquis Daniels? I remember a couple of years ago that Dallas got two great steals in the draft in Josh Howard and him. Didn't he have a good playoff run two years ago? I think hes a good player, but he just needs some confidence in himself and from his coach. I wouldn't mind for the Magic to try to get him.
Another young player I like would be Dorell Wright. He has good athleticism, and he has a pretty nice shot. But with Miami's depth, they have never really used him.
I'm just gonna post what I posted on the Magic board.
If we have to start Dooling at SG next year I don't know what I'll do. I'm a big DeShawn Stevenson suporter. The guy is a good defender who gives 100% on defense at all times. Numerous times this year he has held the oposing teams best players to sub-par games. Not only that, he didn't complain about lack of shots, playing time or his role on the team. On top of that, he shot 46% from the field. If the guy works on his 3 point shot he would be the perfect SG for us. Not to mention he is only 25.
Well, Magic are officially hurting for a SG, and I am officially scared.
Jameer is not as bad as Marbury/Baron but from the same mold.
what??? you got to be kidding me. by that do you mean he's more of a shooter than passer? other than that he's nothing like marbury. jameer is a stud bro and a decent defender. as far as baron, there's nobody else like him except maybe vintage rod strickland.
And as for JR Smith, there's no way in hell I want him on the Magic. The guy does nothing but jack up shots and make stupid decisions on the court. He thinks he's a better shooter than he really is and his defense is nothing to write home about. We would be much better off with Stevenson at the 2 next year rather than Smith.
Beat me to it! I just heard on 740 The Team about this potential trade and I for one am excited. Clearly J.R. would become the starting SG and Evans could also be the starting PF, a good hustling player that we need. I hope they make this trade.
Re: Orlando is now OFFICIALLY hurting for a shooting guard.
Although Redick appears to have sustained a hand injury, reports show that it is not too serious, and he should be ready to play in November. The trade with the Nuggets would have been perfect for the Magic, but they are still set as a team.
