Default Just how washed up is Shaq, really?

Cavs should just let Shaq rest unless they're playing the Celtics, orlando and the Lakers and save him for the playoffs. Shaq makes the Cavs offense and defense worse when he's on the floor playing these other teams who dont play with true centers. Over the past week or so I've seen Shaq struggle to score against these undersized PF types like Bogat, Jakim Noah, and tonight vs Kritic. WTF man, the old Shaq would slaughter these guys and now he keeps getting offensive fouls, turnovers and missed layups.

It doesn't even matter if Shaq sucks now or not, he's a valuable expiring contract to the Cavs. That was the main reason the Cavs traded for Shaq I always believed.

Imagine how good he would have been, and how helpful he would be now, if he had spent even just five minutes a day practicing a 15 footer throughout his entire career....

talk about wasted potential

Thunder weren't even doubling him unless he was just within reach of another defender. He is leaving 0 foot turnarounds and baby hooks way short off the bottom front of the rim. He's literally a non factor on both ends. It's sad. They play better when Varajeo comes into the game with all his activity.

That's true. However, did you expect your team being better with Big Z on the floor instead of Shaq? Did you expect becoming relieved whenever Shaq goes to the bench?

I'm not a Cavs fan and I didn't expect it. I thought Shaq would not be 'all that' any more, but he is faaar worse than expected. And so far the team is far worse when he is on the court opposed to when he is not.

Did you expect it? Honestly.

Shaq isn't killing the team like people make it seem. He does a good job out there and i sure as sh*t was glad to have him out there for quite a few games this season. The first wiz game, magic, mavs, etc. He does things Z doesn't, and Z does things shaq doesn't. Z is no better of a player, he does space the floor out more, but he is soft as hell and if his shot doesn't fall he is useless. Z can't draw fouls or play D. Shaq draws more attention then Z does regardless. Both are doing ok on the boards. I didn't expect a miracle out of shaq, only stupid people did. He hasn't exceeded my expectations, but he certainly met them.

Good for you then.

However, if you have some spare time, look up this expression: Cognitive Dissonance Reduction.
