Default NY should trade all their expirers

This salary cap space plan is stupid- esp at at a time when buying players along w bad contracts (maynor)

The chances of signing an olympian are so low that the effects of failure to do that aren't worth it- having such a small cap # w limited ways to build that- stay at the table with the most chips by trading them all in and buying teams out for some good young talent along w some big contracts

I still believe any big name player would have to be traded for- don't give away all your chips now for a lottery ticket, stay in the game with a lot of chips- you're still a big stack, don't go all in on a draw- stay there and start muscling some teams around with money- now is the time for any team w financial ability to bring players in

What could your roster look like with 3-4 big money moving trade? I'd rather see that than a low salary team w david lee and one teir 2 player eating most of the cap

Just watch and see what happens. Either they know something that we dont, or they fall flat on their face.

Either way, its still going to be big news.

Blah blah blah, we hear this **** all the time. We can do that plan ANYWAY next year with even more expirers if we strike out in free agency. So unless you feel the Knicks have an overwhelming need to beef up for this year (they don't), it makes no sense to do this NOW after waiting a year and a half to free agency.

this board basically wants the Knicks to **** up any possibility of getting a Lebron or Wade in order to become a 6 seed instead of borderline 8 seed. Thats just asinine and honestly reeks of what people would want to happen rather than what should happen.

Would you rather have even a 25% shot @ LeBron, Wade, or Bosh, or Jamal Crawford & Zach Randolph?

Yeah....

At worst i could see them get a Boozer, but Amare, & JJ mite bite on NY. Bron, & wade are long shots. Bosh maybe but see him going to Miami if Bron dont.

How many teams have max?

NYN
NJN
MIA
Clipps
OKS?
MIN?

The Clips cannot afford a max. They will have nice cap space, but not for a max contract.

I agree, the Knicks should hire that Isiah Thomas guy as their GM. He would make great trades and give up our expirers for some talented players! We all know that washed up former All Stars are better than Cap Space right?

Why can't the Knicks simply trade Eddy Curry to Florida International University for an expirer? I bet Isiah will give us all of FIU's #1 draft picks.

Get on it, Walsh.......
