Default Updated Draft order... Who will St. Louis pick #1 overall?

(text if anybody wants to make a mock draft)

Pick: 1 St. Louis Rams

Pick: 5 Kansas City Chiefs
Pick: 6 Washington Redskins
Pick: 7 Seattle Seahawks
Pick: 8 Chicago Bears [Traded to Denver]
Pick: 9 Buffalo Bills
Pick: 10 Oakland Raiders
Pick: 11 San Francisco 49ers
Pick: 12 Carolina Panthers [Traded to San Francisco]
Pick: 13 Pittsburgh Steelers
Pick: 14 Jacksonville Jaguars
Pick: 15 Atlanta Falcons
Pick: 16 Houston Texans
Pick: 17 New York Jets
Pick: 18 Miami Dolphins
Pick: 19 Tennessee Titans
Pick: 20 Baltimore Ravens
Pick: 21 Denver Broncos [Traded to Seattle]
Pick: 22 New York Giants
Pick: 23 Green Bay Packers
Pick: 24 Arizona Cardinals
Pick: 25 Cincinnati Bengals
Pick: 26 Dallas Cowboys
Pick: 27 New England Patriots
Pick: 28 Philadelphia Eagles
Pick: 29 Minnesota Vikings
Pick: 30 San Diego Chargers
Pick: 31 New Orleans Saints

So how do you see the top 5 or top 10 pics this year?

(49ers could really start to improve if their back 2 back picks are successful, and they grab a few Free Agents.)

After being so confident that my Bucs might have a realistic shot at getting Suh, now I'm beginning to be sick realizing that with these last 2 wins, we won't even get a top 2 pick after this awful season we've endured. No, I wouldnt trade yesterday's win over the Saints for anything, but each win hurts us more and more.

St. Louis either MUST pick Suh or trade out of the top spot, pick up a couple of extra picks and get a QB like Clausen or Bradford.

The top 4 players are easily Suh, McCoy, Berry and Okung. The next level of prospects probably includes Spiller, Bryant, Haden, etc.

EDIT: I don't think this is the updated draft order. Tampa Bay won yesterday. They have 3 wins and the Lions only have 2 wins, so their win pct can't both be .143. And it still has the Colts as undefeated. This draft order is from before this week.

You might be right... let me look around a little bit more.

I think KC might have #3 pick, and Tampa Bay has the #4 pick.

Default Re: Updated Draft order... Who will St. Louis pick #1 overall?

Quote:
St. Louis - Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
Clausen finally lived up to his enormous hype this year, and he has capitalized by declaring for the draft. The Rams need to address the QB position and find a long term answer, and Clausen would be a nice pick to step in and take over the offense. Suh may be the best player in the draft, but after spending two high picks on DL the past few seasons, and the need for a QB, Clausen wins out.

Tampa Bay - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
The Rams will probably field a lot of offers for the top spot and the right to draft Suh, but in this scenario, Suh is on the board for the Bucs, and it is a no brainer..

Cleveland - Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Browns had the chance to land Suh, but the victory over Pittsburgh pushes them back. At this point, they’ll still be happy to ‘settle’ on McCoy.

Detroit - Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma St.
The offense has been taking shape over the past couple years with guys like Stafford, Smith, Johnson, and Pettigrew so the Lions would love to address the defense here. With the two defensive tackles gone, they go back to the offensive side and select the left tackle to protect Stafford.

Kansas City - Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St.
Pioli comes from New England and would love to build on the line and on the defensive side of the ball. The offense needs to be addressed immediately, however, and landing playmakers is crucial. If Okung falls, he is the guy, but Bryant gives them a legitimate target on the outside and someone teams must focus on on every snap.

Washington - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
The season ending shoulder injury does cast some doubt about where Bradford ends up, but he won’t last long on draft day. QB’s are always in high demand, and with Jake Locker returning to school, Bradford looks to be the second QB taken. The Skins have been looking at a Jason Campbell replacement for two off seasons now, and they hope their search is over with this pick.

Oakland - Trent Williams, OT, Buffalo
After years of drafting physical marvels that don’t quite live up to the hype, the Raiders finally get it right. Williams is a very good athlete for his size, but his ability on the field is what gets him selected here. He should step in right away at right tackle and help the Raiders immensely.

Seattle - Eric Berry, DB, Tennessee
With the top two tackles and top two QB’s off the board, the Seahawks have to look at other options. CJ Spiller would add another dimension to the offense, but this may be a tad high for him. Instead, Seattle goes for the best player available, which also happens to be a spot where they could use a playmaker.

Denver(Chicago) - Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
The Broncos have been a surprise this year, and they are looking good with a top ten pick from the Jay Cutler trade. The defense has played well in the transition to a 3-4, but some young pieces are still needed. McClain is versatile enough to play a variety of roles and help the team from day one.

Buffalo - Brian Price, DT, UCLA
Price isn’t as far back from the top two interior lineman as most think. The only real difference is size, where Price is a bit smaller than Suh and McCoy. The Bills would love to find an offensive tackle here, but they would have to reach pretty big to select on. Instead they take Price who is unblockable up the gut. He consistently gets into the backfield making plays, and can clog interior running lanes.

FF's mock^^^

man, if the Skins draft Bradford that will be really strange...I don't think I could ever bring myself to hate him...

Bradford to Kelly in Washington...

looks like Dallas is going to be drafting o-line no matter what...

That's a few weeks old as well. Anyone know how often McShay and Kiper's mock drafts come out? I thought it was weekly, since the win/loss records of teams change every week, as does draft order.

I would love it if we ended up getting Suh, but with us now drafting in the 4th spot, I doubt it. I'm just excited we have TWO 2nd round picks. Thanks Chicago for giving us a 2nd rounder for the bust that is known as Gaines Adams. How's he workin out for ya?

The Bears have to be in one of the toughest spots this offseason. No picks in the first 2 or 3 rounds. Ouch.

If Rams don't take Suh, Lions will. They wont go for a OLINEMAN because they think Backus is decent and Cherlious can still develop.

I think teams are becoming wary of drafting QBs at #1. The fact that Spagnolu is a defensive coach, and the Rams are horrible at defense could lead them to taking Suh. There will be good stop gap free agent options at QB available in free-agency, and good value picks in later rounds for the Rams to choose. If Bradford can't work out until his pro-day it will savage his already weakening stock.

We could use a bad @ss Saftey.

We need to go for it next year anyway... and other than WR Roy Williams, ...Saftey is our biggest hole
