Default Looking at the Eastern Conference

As far as the playoffs go:

4 locks: Celtics, Cavs, Magic, Hawks
2 probable: Raptors,Heat

Then you have a logjam with: Knicks, 76ers, Bobcats, Bulls, Pistons and Pacers battling for 2 spots (purposely left out the Wizards with Arenas out).

Based on what you've seen so far, how do you think it will shake out?

Bobcats i'm REALLY confident in. Knicks much less so. But i'd go with them 7 and 8. And Knicks not cause i think we are so fantastic, just because i think the other teams are even more flawed.

Pacers and 76ers have no chance for the playoffs IMO. 76ers could make
it if they significantly improve somehow, but the Pacers are terrible.

It's up to the Bobcats, Bulls, Bucks and Knicks for that 7th and 8th spot. I could see the Knicks losing out if they start to blow their team up.

Surprised you didn't mention the Bucks. Redd could injury himself again and they could go back to winning.

it is a disadvantage to the Easts good teams to play **** teams four times a year and then to play the really tough teams only twice a year. The West teams have to play the really tough teams four times a year and it does effect their win / loss somewhat but the will be better prepared come playoff time. The NBA should have changed this years ago. Just play each team the same number of times and let the records fall where they may.

If we hadn't signed Dahntay Jones then maybe. I thought Henderson was one of the handful of players we could draft. Hansbrough's a fan favorite already though, like we knew he would be, and wouldn't want to give the fickle fair weather ill informed Indiana fans another reason to lash out at Bird.

I like the Bobcats, Larry Brown has them playing defense..Stephen Jackson was a good addition. And the Bucks too.

1. Celtics
2. Cavs
3. Magic
4. Hawks
5. Heat
6. Raptors
7. Bobcats
8. Bucks
