An Oakland Raiders proposal for Asomugha...

I can agree to all the parts of the trade proposed, Vernon, Kellen, Braylon but 2 1st round picks in addition is too much. I wouldnt mind giving up this years number one though.

Oakland writer proposes Jets trade for top CB

At least one other person in Oakland agrees that Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha should line up with Jets Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis in New York next season.

Oakland Tribune columnist Can Inman says Asomugha's value will never be higher, and with a 2010 NFL season to be played without a salary cap, now is the perfect time for a trade, like the one Asomugha and Revis reportedly have talked about.

Inman even suggests what the Jets can provide to land Asomugha:

"What could the Jets give up in return? They've got draft picks (29th overall this year, a first-rounder next year to replace the one Oakland gave up for (Richard) Seymour in 2009). Other bait: an expendable quarterback in Kellen Clemens, a restricted free agent in wide receiver Braylon Edwards, and a draft bust in defensive end Vernon Gholston, whom Davis might eye as a trademark reclamation project."

Inman writes that for as good as Asomugha is, he hasn't stopped the Raiders' tailspin into the lower levels of the NFL. A trade comparable to the one the Cowboys made when they sent Herschel Walker to the Vikings, landing pieces for their mid-'90s dynasty, would be a good idea for Oakland.

And acquiring Asomugha would be a good idea for New York.

"Asomugha is the type of player any franchise should covet, especially the Raiders. He is a wonderful role model, both on the field and off it. He worked his way to elite status and is rarely tested (hence: only one interception each of past three seasons)," Inman writes. "New York would love him."

Asomugha is headed into the second year of a three-year, $45 million contract, and reports say the Jets are planning to make Revis one of the NFL's highest players with a contract extension. But without a salary cap next season and no idea what a new players contract will include, pairing the two best cover cornerbacks in football could be too tempting for the Jets -- and Rex Ryan -- to resist.

Especially if Vernon Gholston is in the deal.

this is not serious it was a joke between friends but man a Jet can dream right!

According to three people with knowledge of the process, Tomlinson has decided to become a New York Jet.

"It's 100 percent," one source said. "Done deal."

Tomlinson is expected to announce the decision today or tomorrow.

However, one source cautioned late Saturday night that a decision has not yet been officialy made.

Also according to the National Football Post, the Jets have had internal discussion on acquiring Brandon Marshall while putting together a package of players, keeping their 1st round pick.

Apparently the Jets are trying to put together a package to acquire Brandon Marshall. According to the report it involves multiple players and later round draft picks which would enable the Jets to keep their 1st round pick. I really like how aggressive they are in the offseason.

What exactly is that? Is weight removed surgically or something? I never understood how Head Coachs can get soooooo fat. I guess I just figure being with a professional franchise, with doctors, athletic trainers, state of the art facilities, even weight/conditioning programs for players. Heck some teams have requirements that players "make weight" and what not. That a Head Coach in the midst of all that gets lost with his own weight.

The first thing LT needs to do is slap Shonn Greene in the head for disrespecting him.

It's a gastric bypass surgical procedure where they divide the stomach into 2 separate "pouches" and reattach the small intestine to allow both pouches to stay connected to it. One of the pouches is used as a food intake bypass.

It basically allows these fatties to eat whatever they want without out it ever hitting their system

LT is a waste... Pure trash. We should have kept TJ.

In any deal for Brandon should include Iron Hands Edwards.

Jets are having a busy off season.... the Jets are too active to not be on the 1st page

I still hate the LT instead of TJ but Green wouldnt be able to get the love he deserved because TJ was a leader on the team.
