I don't care how Hedo's stats are, as long as he shows up when it matters... I have seen him hit some big shots at key points in games for the Raps already this year. Look at that win against the Lakers the other night, he got the ball for the last shot and took it straight to the hole to get fouled, then knocked down 2 FTs to put the Raps up by 1 and win it.
He is fearless and very skilled with a high BB IQ, it's only a matter of time before he puts a solid stretch together that will make everyone forget his first half struggles.
Also, the Raps are 5th in the East after a slow start, so putting the stats aside, it's hard to find fault with what BC has done there.
Stats do not show what Hedo actually does in games, he is a playmaker, now when I say he is a playmaker I do not mean he gets 10 assists a night, but he is the one that spreads the offense. In Orlando, people thought he was good because he was getting 16ppg, but that was because he was allowed to shoot reason being Dwight is down there if you miss. In Toronto, if you miss, you have Bosh down low who is nothing like Howard, much smaller player.
I haven't watched many Toronto games, so I may be wrong, but here is the big thing. They are 5th seed right now. Last year, they were nowhere near the playoffs, they were the 3rd WORST team in the EAST. So as long as they are winning, Hedo was a good acquisition.
