Re: How have other players changed since the Bobcats got Stephen Jackson
I think it took a couple of weeks for Jackson to establish chemistry with the rest of the guys, but now that he's solidly in the system, he's making a huge difference.
Some of the pressure has been taken off of Wallace, and Nazr Mohammed has really improved this year. I don't think anybody has stepped up, nor do I think anyone has gotten better since the trade. I believe it was one of those scenarios where the team got better just by subtracting a couple of guys and adding a good piece.
We thought Jason Richardson was the answer to our offensive problems, but he wasn't. When we traded him for Raja Bell, we thought the same thing. We just had too much defense and not enough offense. Now with Jackson, Wallace isn't getting as much attention because other teams know Jackson is the number one offensive producer. Felton's assists totals are going up because people are making more shots now.
It's really a trickle-down effect. Jackson is allowing players more of an opportunity to do more. Players are playing up to their potential. It's not Jackson, it's a combination of chemistry, coaching, and determination.
