6thManOfTheYear is considered somewhat cool6thManOfTheYear is considered somewhat cool
Default Re: Mike Vick

Vick is ideal for a team that has no real direction of plan for the future.

With that said I think the Raiders are PERFECT for Vick

I have my flame suit on... This guy cannot win on any team that was not built around him like the Falcons were... A team would have to totally change their philosophy because he isnt a traditional QB.

He isnt a pocket passer so you would need more athletic O-line, heady WR's, an offensive scheme that fits what he does well....

I'm not disagreeing with what Vick needs around him. But in Atlanta they were running a form of the West Coast offense and expecting Vick to pick it up much like Mcnabb did (whom many felt he wouldnt be able too). Dan Reeves knew how to use Vick and played to his strengths whereas imo others have tried to force him into being something he is not and may never be.

I dont think of McNabb the same way I think of Vick....

This is my point about Vick... He is truly one of the most gifted athletes to play the position but if a team trades for him and expects him to remember plays and throw out the pocket will be in for a huge disappointment. A team will have to change there whole offense to accommodate him.

This is why I dont think of McNabb in the same way. McNabb will run after a couple of check downs and he has a lane.

I see what you're saying. The way I was lookin at it? I have Vick penciled in as a Bill or Ram. And they stink so changing thier offense shouldnt be that big of a deal.
