awsome all we need to do now is resign Richard Seymour

also the oakland is in talks to building a new stadium for the raiders only 100 yards away from where the existing one is

The Oakland Raiders have applied the franchise tag to defensive lineman Richard Seymour.

Ron Borges of the Boston Herald is reporting that the Raiders slapped Seymour with the tag -- which comes with an offer of a one-year guaranteed contract worth $12.398 million -- while the team and Seymour continue negotiations on a long-term deal.

Seymour said he would be "happy to stay with the Raiders and be a part of bringing them back to the playoffs."

The Raiders acquired Seymour in a trade with the Patriots just before the start of the 2009 season. Not wanting to lose a player who cost them their 2011 first-round draft pick after just one season, the Raiders were widely expected to put the franchise tag on him if they couldn't sign him to a long-term deal.

Seymour is a great leader to have in our locker room...all he wants is a long term deal and dude will play hard plus teach our younger player a thing or two about getting back to the playoffs. Glad the Raiders are doing the right thing with him!!!!

Garbage song for a garbage team, garbage owner and garbage fanbase.

Can't even sell out a home game against your biggest rival, 7 blackouts in one season, joke.

Mike Vick wouldn't mind playing for the Raiders..

Quote:
Oakland Raiders: I've always thought this would be an outstanding scheme fit -- not because of (insert Raiders joke here), but because Darren McFadden(notes) ran the Wildcat at Arkansas and has a lot of experience with option sets -- he's done a little bit of that in Oakland. On the other hand, the Raiders are inexplicably committed to JaMarcus Russell(notes) and will give Bruce Gradkowski(notes) a second-round tender

Raiders are expected to waive Justin Fargas ans Gerrard Warren

i dont care about warren but fargas was a tough back, played hard and was a leader but at the same time it was the right choice since we got some young backs

Blackout because we can't find corporate sponsors to buy out our seats like cities with less minorities that live in it? That sh*t is a joke to knock our fanbase. Raider fans are everywhere and in every state and are do or die even still today. Look at our streak of bad seasons Raiderf ans still pop up every where and represent.

Now garbage owner....can't defend that. But you have to respect Al regardless without him there really wouldn't be no NFL as we all know it today.

And don't come in here fire shots and not say what team you rep...unless your a p*ssy.

Yeah gunna miss Fargas...just found out today. But maybe this means that we are more committed to Bush and McFadden? I think we should sign a vet QB...god I hate f*cking Russel.
