apparently he broke down towards the end of the season and he's 34. he's not much more than a situational pass rusher at this point in time.

he was only owed 2.5 mill this year which is his last year he was also a leader for the offense....which tells you how bad we are

i think for sure trevor scott can take over production wise but i dont the think can step up as a leader

Please, I would like this team to draft an OL.

Give Jamarcus some protection. No need for speed.

I actually like the Raiders because of there fans. They are some of the most loyal ones still out there and are proud of there team no matter what.

Would be nice to see the raiders making some cuts to hopefully sign a big name free agent (brandon marshall) but who know we will probably end up giving another 30 mil to an unproven rookie.

im excited to see that fargas is gone, hopefully turn bush and dmac into a fearsome 1/2 punch.

its great if you are a raiders fan, because you have 2 chances to win every week. a raiders victory = success and a 49ers loss =

Raiders just acquired former Cleveland Browns linebacker and 13th overall pick Kamerion Wimbley for undisclosed draft picks per rotoworld.

He does have over 26 sacks in 3 seasons.

not too sure what to make out of it we do need a DE and a LOLB so he might be able to fill in on both parts depending on where we decide to put him

oh and it was one of our two 3rd round picks

he'll be playing defense end. he's much better suited to have his hand in the dirt versus playing linebacker...he was a defensive end at florida state. i think this will be a nice change for him.

JaMarcus Russell was a no show at voluntary workouts today. Surprise, surprise. One of the worst no. 1 overall picks in history. The man had one solid bowl game vs a weak defense in ND and jetted to the overall number one pick based on his tools. lol.

War Bruce Gradkowski>>>>>Russell

In case you missed it, Raiders director of squad development Willie Brown said on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area Monday that quarterback JaMarcus Russell has undergone a transformation in the offseason and wasn’t present at the first day of the offseason program tending to personal business.

Quote:
Brown, talking with Raiders play-by-play announcer Greg Papa on “Chronicle Live,” alluded to personal problems Russell experienced last season and said the quarterback has been in Phoenix getting in shape, a long-running rumor neither the Raiders nor Russell’s agents would confirm.

“You’ll be surprised when you see him,” Brown said. “It’s quite a bit of weight that he’s lost . . . I don’t want to pin it down and say how much he lost but it will be a significant difference when you see him compared to last year.

“The most important thing is he’s getting in shape. Not only losing weight, but getting in shape. He’s watching his diet, he has special meals brought in that he’s eating, and we have one of the Raiders, a former player there with him to monitor him and make sure things are going fine. The weight thing, he’ll get it down. He’ll get it down.”
believe it when I see it

11 of those sacks came on during his rookie season...pretty impressive.
Let hope he peaks in Oakland! Good trade IMO.
