I dreamed last night that Troy Murphy got traded for Kenny Thomas, Donte Green, and Sacto's 2nd. So it's going to happen.

Balkman, Allen & Graham + 2 future 1sts for Tyrus Thomas! Make it happen!

I just read teams are lining up for Thomas, like 10+. Charlotte's apparently the leader with Law + Murray + 2010 1st. Chitown really, really wants expirers so I doubt they'd accept Balkman.

I know, but they need to fill the roster with 13 players next season and Balkman has a rare decreasing contract, and he is an solid role player.

I have always wanted the Nuggets to play Balkman 15mpg, but GK doesn't like him.

We could trade one of our TE's for James Johnson who has an equal (100k more) contract next season.

Or 3-team it.

Balk, Allen & Petro + two 1sts to Detroit for Kwame
Kwame + 2nd round pick to Bulls
Thomas to Nuggets

Ya, ty thomas is a good addition when you have kmart and birdman- you really think the nugs need another light pf size guy? I like the talent upgrade and the idea of trading picks and going after somebody, just don't think tyrus thomas is anywhere near one of the top targets- would you give the same deal or something close to the kings for hawes or the nets for yi?

TT is an available lottery level starter talent who they can conceivably acquire for very little. He blocks shots plays help D and has great energy. Of course hes a better pick up then someones bench warmer big. The nugs could even swallow the cap hit for a year and keep him long term to take over for KMart if he works out well for them.

I don't see either the Nets or Kings giving up either for what we can offer, and we need an PF for the future

We're not taking on Balkman's contract. We can fill out the roster with better players then him in the offseason.

Yeah, They all seem a little over the top, but that one was ridiculous. Talk about a reach.

Charlotte has offered Acie Law, Flip Murray and their 2010 first-round pick, a league executive said.

Portland has offered Steve Blake or Travis Outlaw, who are both expirings, along with two second round picks.

Both of those are better offers. Why would we consider Denver's offer over those?
