Default Rafer Alston is a terrible "point guard"

If you only read boxscores and not watch Rockets game then you might think , hmm he shoots a decent percentage and gets some assists

He shoots a decent %, around 40% because he gets open looks 100% of the time, ive never seen a NBA player get open looks all the time. Since he gets so many open looks, he should shoot at least 50%

He does not create shots for his teammates, he does not collapse defenses, he does not create drive shots

He misses so many open layups its ridiculous

He seems to like to play keep away from Yao, I was watching the game today and Yao got great position, then Rafer instead of passing drive to the hoop and travels

Rockets need a true point guard

He makes some bad decisions, but he is still a solid play. I hate that people type cast him from his days in Toronto and just flat out refuse to acknowledge the good things that he does.

Go away, hater.

there are plenty of players that suck at making others better or good players for the team. Look at Tim Thomas, he never gives up the ball, yet hes put up decent #'s since last year in phoenix to now. He stands there and waits for the ball, once he has it, he never looks anywhere but to shoot or drive and score, no matter whos open.

and why is this in the fantasy basketball forum? stats and boxscores are all that matter here.
